Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
Portales Kiwanis Int’l
During the last Kiwanis International meeting, Dr. Bob Elliott delivered a compelling program highlighting his travels throughout Asia and a new member became official.
A professor of social work, Stephen Melby was inducted into our local KI club. Previously involved with KI of Albuquerque, he especially enjoys the 'brotherhood' aspect of connecting with other people in the club.
What really attracts his interest, though, is the public service component of KI. From raising money for ELIMINATE, to ringing Salvation Army bells, delivering Meals on Wheels, sponsoring Pet Shows for children during the fair, and even helping with the Harlem Globetrotters upcoming visit to ENMU on Feb. 11 at 7p.m. in the arena.
Kiwanis International Club of Portales meets every Tuesday at noon in the Aztec room of the Campus Union Ballroom at ENMU. All meetings have an open invitation to the public.
