Curry County Ed Retirees

The Curry County Association of Educational Retirees met Jan. 5 at K-Bob's. Representative Randy Crowder, Senator Pat Woods and Senator Stuart Ingle discussed the upcoming legislative session. They expect a bill to be passed for a two-tier drivers' license system that will satisfy federal mandates. They expressed concerns about mismanagement of federal lands within our state, teachers being evaluated on student test scores when they didn't teach that student, raids on the permanent fund and New Mexico's lax regulations on lawsuits.

We invited all retired Curry County educational employees to join us at our next meeting on Feb. 2 at K-Bob's at 11 a.m.
