Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
STAFF REPORT
Christmas is right around the corner and a chance to get in some extra holiday shopping will be available this weekend.
The Hydration Station will be hosting their first Community Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Coordinators said they expect the atmosphere to be full of love with friends, family, fellowship, shopping, Christmas music, food, drinks and warmth.
37 booths from the community will be set up in "the station" which is the back room of the building, according to co-owner Karen Roach.
"I wanted to provide community women and men that do their own crafts and try to do their own small businesses an opportunity to sell their stuff before Christmas," she said.
Crafts, baked goods, Christmas decor and more will be among the products and services that the booths will offer, Roach said.
Admission will be free for the event, but Roach said they will be collecting donations of preferably new winter items, such as coats and jackets, gloves, socks, scarves and blankets to give back to the community, so no one will be cold this winter.
According to Roach, Santa will also be making an appearance at the event, ready to give out hugs and photo opportunities.
Roach said the photos can be purchased for $2 and should be available Monday or Tuesday of next week.
