Story: The previous owner surrendered her to the shelter as the owner was no longer able to care for the dog. She’s about a year old and will grow a little bit more. According to Adam Aguilar, animal control supervisor, she would be ideal for a family with one or two children. Aguilar said the children should be old enough to know not to try to jump on the dog. The ideal owner also needs to be active as Great Danes need lots of exercise and a budget because these dogs eat a lot of food, especially when they are still growing.
