President Obama has ordered flags to half-staff “as a mark of respect for the victims of gun violence perpetrated on December 2, 2015, in San Bernardino, California.”
The president’s proclamation states flags should be flown half-staff at all public buildings and grounds through Monday.
It’s the eighth time this year Obama has ordered flags at half-staff. It happened six times in 2014 and nine times in 2013, according to us.halfstaff.org

In the “good cause” department, Clovis Christian Schools’ annual Christmas fundraiser is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at the Clovis Civic Center.
Last year, the gala brought in $133,000 through live and silent auctions, school officials said.
Superintendent Ladona Clayton has said the money raised is important in helping cover the school’s overhead costs and helps provide $40,000 to $50,000 in annual scholarships for students.
