Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
’Tis the season for so many delightful things … concerts, feasts, shopping, celebrating, crafting, playing in the snow, taking special photos, traveling.
I love the holidays. I cherish this season.
When I see a banner exclaiming “Happy Holidays” or “Season’s Greetings,” I’m just tickled pink.
You can serve me coffee in a plain brown mug. You can bring my iced tea in a clear glass. You can serve me Pad Thai without a single mention of Christmas, and I won’t be offended.
I don’t know when Jesus was born, but I’m glad the world enjoys celebrating Dec. 25 with such joy. I’m not offended by those who don’t. If you don’t want Santa Claus in your store window, I’ll still come in if you’re selling what I need.
Hopefully we’ll exchange smiles and pleasantries.
There are real wars raging around this planet. Persecutions are atrocious. Can we please put an end to our petty grievances?
Let me have my Christmas tree. I’ll go on ignoring your demonic Halloween costumes. Let me have my belief in a miraculous creation. I’ll still be your friend if you’re an evolutionist.
Our rights as Americans are so important. We have to be allowed to express ourselves without anything and everything becoming a ridiculous battle.
Wishing we could call a truce in the USA. Wishing you a wonderful December.
