Area native awarded for conservation efforts

Courtesy photo Tish McDaniel was awarded the Hamerstrom Award Thursday night by the Prairie Grouse Tech Council for her work in conservation in eastern New Mexico during her life. McDaniel is the second woman to win the award since 1992. The first, she said, was given to Frances Hamerstrom, for whom the award is named.
