What the fashion?

That’s something I always ask my associates every week in attempt to get them to reveal what trends, if any, they think are worth clinging to.
So far, the ’90’s throwbacks and cocktail boots that are apparently what’s happening on the fashion scene have inspired none of them. But really, pairing boots with a cocktail dress? I’m not sure I’d like to see that look on anyone. Perhaps, if you’re of Lady Gaga status then it’s OK.
There aren’t too many progressions in fashion that have caught my attention of late. But I am inclined to talk about the best part of dressing in this autumnal weather.
It’s not so much about the fashion itself but it’s all about the fabric choices. We’ve now entered the best time of the year to be our most creative with style.
Transitional weather offers you the option of light to medium fabrics. You don’t necessarily have to hang up your shorts or store away your sandals.
Instead, you have the option to layer and mix those summer pieces with warmer items for fall and that’s what makes clothes so fun right now.
You may pair dresses with pants. The versatility of sleeveless turtlenecks and long-sleeved light knits can be paired with skirts and shorts.
In other good news, you may also add some corduroy to your fall lineup because quite a few galleries have shown the fabric as a fashion must-have this season.
Some warm color choices for fall are royal or cobalt blue, aluminum grays and cognac browns.
If you’d like to add a pop of lighter colors, go for mustard yellows, orchid purples. Don’t go too bright or too dark.
Mix, match and enjoy the season — it won’t be long before winter.
