Difference: Junior RB Mason Golden scored a pair of touchdowns in a two-minute span of the first quarter to give the Wolverines control against a team which has been their nemesis in recent years.
Difference-makers: Golden added a fourth-quarter touchdown on a 37-yard run and finished with 209 yards on the ground on 28 carries. Sophomore Tyler Romans got Texico’s other TD on a 25-yard run early in the third quarter.

Difference: The game was just past the middle of the second quarter when play was halted for two hours due to lightning and then suspended with the Colts leading 13-6. The teams hope to be able to finish the game today.
Difference-makers: Senior WR Jack Tingwall caught a 19-yard TD pass in the first quarter and senior RB Carlos Xibille ran in from a yard out in the second quarter for NMMI. The Foxes pulled to 7-6 late in the first quarter on senior Kyle Idtensohn’s 3-yard TD run.

Difference: The defending 8-man state champion Buffaloes took no prisoners, scoring four times in the first quarter for a 28-0 lead.
Difference-makers: Sophomore RB Carson Fraze scored four of the Buffs’ eight TDs, including a 51-yard run in the opening quarter. He ended the game on the 50-point mercy rule early in the third quarter with a 10-yard TD run. … Each team had a kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter. Junior Dylan Roberts got Dora’s only TD on a 73-yard return, but Melrose sophomore Sterling Sena took the ensuing kickoff 74 yards to the house.

Difference: The Class 3A Mules jumped out to a 21-8 lead at the quarter and never looked back, outgaining the Class 4A Lobos for the game 611-308.
Difference-makers: Senior QB Danny Campos was involved in all six Mules TDs, scoring on a 2-yard run and throwing for five tallies.
