A Clovis man died Sunday afternoon in a vehicle crash near Santa Rosa.
Marc Martinez, 43, a passenger in a vehicle driven by Renee Martinez, 41, also of Clovis, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, according to a news release from new Mexico State Police.
Friends of the family said Renee Martinez was hospitalized in Albuquerque.
The accident happened about 2 p.m., officials said.
It occurred at the intersection of U.S. 84 and the eastbound on-ramp to Interstate 40, west of Santa Rosa.
The initial investigation revealed the Martinez vehicle collided with one driven by Maria Jimenez, 51, of Denver, the news release reported.
No information on the condition of Jimenez was provided.
The crash remains under investigation, the release said.
