Grady delays first day of school due to construction

Summer vacation has been extended for students at Grady Municipal Schools.

Grady’s first day of classes were scheduled to begin Wednesday.

But it’s been delayed to Aug. 17 because of ongoing floor construction at the high school, according to Administrative Secretary Melissa Garland.

Garland said the last phase of the construction project should be done soon.
