ENMU women's hoops adds point guard Hotchkins

Staff report

Eastern New Mexico University landed a Division-I transfer Thursday, with point guard Jasmine Hotchkins joining the Greyhounds.

The 5-foot-3 Phoenix native will have three years of eligibility left, following a freshman year at East Tennessee State. While at ETSU, she averaged 13.4 minutes per game with 2.9 points per game for the Lady Buccaneers in 2013-14. She was granted a medical redshirt after suffering a knee injury in her second game last season.

Greyhound coach Josh Prock said Hotchkins is a tremendous shooter and knows how to take advantage of her quickness.

“Off the court, Jasmine is someone the community of Portales will love to get to know,” Prock said. “We hope the community will join us in welcoming Jasmine to our family.”
