• Due to press room maintenance issues, our newspapers had to roll our editions two hours ahead of normal deadlines. We will work to get late sports reports on our websites and in the following edition of each newspaper.

Workshops...

• To be held at the L.C. Cozzens administrative offices at the Portales Municipal Schools building. The workshops will cover the Roosevelt County Commission’s plans for the 2015-16 fiscal year budget. The workshops are 1 p.m. today, 9 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Monday.

Special guest...

• Cannon Air Force Base will host Air Force Chief Master Sgt. James A. Cody next month. Cody is the Air Force’s 17th chief master sergeant, and began his career in 1984 as an air traffic controller.
