Portales Altrusa
Portales Altrusa met Monday at the ZIA Room with 19 members and 1 guest present. Vice President, Cozetta Moor, presided.
Dannah Brown gave the accent on the international convention that will be held in July. Secret pals were thanked.
Noelle Bartl from the ENMU Foundation presented the program. She reported that since 2004, Altrusa has given $8,650 in scholarships and helped 22 students. She also reported on the many areas and ways you may support the foundation.
Cathy Rankin, reported on the Char-I-tea. She reported 80 guests attended the tea. Proceeds will benefit CYFD and the 6th grade independent reading program at Lindsey-Steiner.
Melissa Schramn was presented for membership.
Danielle Swopes, service chair, brought an update on United Way, and how the proceeds are distributed. She also gave a report on Meals on Wheels. Altrusa delivers Meals on Wheels in March and September.
The next meeting will be March 23 in the ZIA Room. The Sunshine Committee will present the program.
