The Lady Buffs have gone blue again.
Melrose claimed its second championship in four seaons, and its first in Class 2A with a 52-48 win over top-seeded Tatum at The Pit in Albuquerque.
The Lady Buffs (24-5) also won the title in 2012, coincidentally against Tatum as well.
It is the sixth title in school history and 11th title game appearance for Melrose.
Tatum's season ends at 26-4.
