Last meeting: Feb. 13, the Tigers pulled away late to hand the Wildcats a 76-60 loss at The Rock.

Last time out: Both teams lost on Thursday, the Cats at Carlsbad 66-31 and the Tigers at home to Hobbs 90-59..

Of note: Clovis won at Alamo 65-64 on Jan. 30. The teams both went 1-5 in district play, but the Tigers earned the tie-breaker for home court based on head-to-head points. … Alamo snapped an eight-game losing streak with its win here, but the Tigers have dropped 14 of their last 17. The Cats, meantime, have lost 16 of their last 18. Alamo broke away from a 46-46 tie early in the final period here. … Down 50-30 at halftime against top-ranked Hobbs on Thursday, the Tigers managed to get as close as nine ponits with the help of a 13-0 run in the third quarter. Senior Josey Mills led Alamo in that one with 14 points, while senior Damond Clark added 11. … The winner plays at second-seeded Carlsbad in a semifinal game on Thursday night.
