ALBUQUERQUE — Eastern New Mexico University senior Sabrina Huelga, who helped the Zias win the distance medley relay on Friday, posted a seventh-place finish in the women’s 800 on Saturday in the University of New Mexico’s Collegiate Classic indoor track meet.
Huelga’s time in the 800 was two minutes, 16.32 seconds.
In Friday’s competition, the team of Clovis grad Ashlee Pierson, Klaudia Syzch, Huelga and Amber Saiz ran a time of 12:18.98 to beat runnerup West Texas A&M by more than 23 seconds.
ENMU’s final regular-season indoor outing is scheduled for Feb. 20 in the Red Raider Open at Lubbock, hosted by Texas Tech.
The Lone Star Conference indoor championships are scheduled for Feb. 28-March 1, also at Lubbock.
