Last time out: Moriarty won at home over Gallup 49-43 last Tuesday. The Rams pulled out a 53-50 win on Friday at Texico.
Of note: The win over Gallup snapped a 10-game losing streak for the Pintos. … The teams are winless in nine combined games against common opponents this season — Artesia, Clovis, Lovington and Roswell High. Moriarty is 0-5, having lost twice to Artesia. … The Rams’ final six regular-season games are all in District 4-4A play, beginning at home on Friday night against Ruidoso.

Last meeting: March 2014, the Lady Rams upended their then-District 4-3A rivals 54-46 in the state quarterfinals at The Pit in Albuquerque en route to the 3A championship.
Last time out: PHS won at Texico 55-29 on Friday. The Lady Wildcats dropped a 57-45 decision at Class6A No. 1 Clovis on Saturday.
Of note: The teams were District 4-3A rivals for years before the NMAA essentially bumped everybody up a class this season. Lovington, though, jumped two classes to 5A. … The Lady Wildcats swept home-and-home district games from Portales last season before falling in the state matchup. … Senior G Juztice Perry leads the Lady Wildcats in scoring (12.7 ppg), assists (2.4 apg) and steals (3.0 spg).
