Clovis Media raffle will support food bank

Clovis Media Inc. is sponsoring a raffle for a 55-inch LCD HDTV, with proceeds to benefit the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico.

Tickets are $1 each, or a donation of one can of food.

“We are so thankful for Publisher Robert Arrowsmith and CMI’s generous donation of this deluxe HDTV,” Food Bank Executive Director Dianna Hernandez said in a release. “This fundraiser is a great boost to the Food Bank’s continuing programs and efforts to feed individuals, families and children in eastern New Mexico.”

Tickets are available 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays at either the food bank at 2217 Brady in Clovis, the Clovis News-Journal at 521 Pile Street in Clovis and the Portales News-Tribune at 101 E. First St. in Portales. Tickets can also be purchased online at http://www.fbenm.org.

Additionally, tickets will be sold the next four Saturdays — 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Paradise Market in Clovis, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan. 17 at Albertsons Market in Clovis, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart in Clovis and 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Noonday Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at the Clovis High School Cafeteria.

The winner will be announced at the Kiwanis pancake breakfast. The winner does not need to be present to win.

In its 31st year, the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico partners with 32 agencies and 25 schools to deliver emergency food in Curry, Roosevelt, Quay, De Baca, Guadalupe and Torrance Counties in eastern New Mexico.
