Judge returns home following accident

Ninth Judicial District Judge Stephen Quinn, hospitalized in Lubbock on Saturday after a car accident in Clovis, has returned home.

Chief District Judge Drew Tatum said Quinn left the hospital on Sunday.

“He’s doing good; a lot of bumps and bruises, but he’s resting at home,” Tatum said.

“He’s looking forward to getting back to work and back in the swing of things. He’s extremely lucky. It could have been a heck of a lot worse. He’s on the mend, and we can’t wait to have him back in the courthouse.”

Quinn, a three-term district judge, suffered broken ribs and severe bruising in the accident, a family member said.
