Comedy show scheduled for Tuesday

The Clovis Community College Cultural Arts Series will take the stage again next week, when Reduced Shakespeare Company performs its show, “The Complete History of Comedy (abridged).”

The show is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Marshall Auditorium.

The Reduced Shakespeare Company is a three-man comedy troupe that takes complicated subjects and compacts them into short comedies. The trio got their start in 1981 in California and have since created seven stage shows, various television specials and pilots and numerous radio pieces.

“The Complete History of Comedy (abridged)” covers comedy from Shakespeare to “The Daily Show,” deconstructs classic jokes and asks what nationalities aren’t funny.
