What to keep and what not to keep? That is the question. Many of us have timeless pieces in our closets and don’t even klnow it. Having a collection of items that won’t ever go out of style is an essential part of fashion. Adopting new trends is nice but to mix it up with vintage is definitely a fashion must. Here are some of my picks that will never go out of style.

• Personalized jewelery. This type of jewelery has shown its popularity everywhere from 1980s hip hop culture to Carrie Bradshaw in the iconic television and movie series, “Sex and the City.” Every piece from name plate necklaces (my favorite I might add) to letter stud earrings and birthstones, these jewels will always be a part of yesterday and today.

• Knee high boots. They come in many styles, but a simple equestrian type style will fit into your wardrobe for years to come.

• Hoop earrings. Every other woman can attest to this because the majority of women who wear earrings has a pair. Whether they’re large or small hoops, they will always be the go to earrings to spice up a ponytail or bun when you’re on the run and in a hurry.

• High-waisted Flares. We just can’t away from these pants. They’ve truly have made their way in every era. These versatile pants won’t be going out of style any time soon.

• Wide-brimmed hat. Enough said. These have always been pretty relevant in fashion.

• Suit. Everyone should have at least one nice tailored suit.

• Structured handbag. A good quality leather handbag goes a long away. And if you pick the right one, the more aged it gets the better.

• Lace. So, as you all have probably seen, lace is kind of a big deal this season. It’s all we see on the red carpets and runways right now. Hollywood is eating it up so much that most celebrites are forgetting that it’s a see through fabric. They’re just throwing lace dresses on top of their underwear. I’m kidding. It’s a good look. To each his own.

• Red lipstick. Finding the right shade can be a difficult task but is a nice look on the occasion if it’s not normally your shade. Red lips are always on trend and are definitely hot when you’re trying to glam it up a bit. Every lady should sample a red lip.

Next time you’re sampling through your drawers and closets, stop to see what timeless pieces you might have held on to. If you’re lacking, it’s not too late start your collection.
