Courtney Burnette, Midwestern State, Fr., GK, Irving, Texas — Burnette stretched her scoreless streak to 410 minutes, compiling a total of 18 saves in shutouts of Western State, Southwestern Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian as the Mustangs went 2-0-1 for the week. Brett Villarreal, West Texas A&M, Sr., Amarillo — Villarreal led the way in the Buffaloes’ third-place team finish in Texas Tech’s Red Raider Open, posting the top NCAA Division II time in the 8K race at 24 minutes, 37.15 seconds.

Women

Michaela Johnson, West Texas A&M, Sr., Carlsbad — Johnson placed second in the 5K Texas Tech Open event, posting a time of 20:47.15 on a course which actually ended up being 5,400 meters. The Lady Buffs were second as a team.
