Local social worker appointed

Sandra Turner of Clovis has been appointed by Gov. Susana Martinez to the Board of Social Work Examiners, according to a press release from the governor’s press office.

Turner is a clinical therapist, social worker and owner of Life Changes Counseling and Consulting. She was previously a school social worker for Clovis Municipal Schools.

Turner is a member of the Brain Injury Advisory Council and has been a volunteer with Altrusa Women since 2004. She holds a master’s degree in social work from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas.
