This is the first article in a four part series highlighting the housing project’s progress, updates and move-in-ready status.

There are many changes taking place at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico this year, but none have generated quite the “buzz” within the Cannon family as the soon-to-be completed Balfour Beatty Communities housing project.

Each day, it seems that a new home nears completion in the 671 home project, and BBC makes every effort when it comes to providing beautiful and lasting homes for Cannon’s Air Commandos.

Here are some things the families of Cannon can look forward to upon moving into their new homes:

• All homes come furnished with GE Energy Star Appliances: a stove, microwave, oven and refrigerator.

• Ceiling fans and light fixtures throughout the home

• A combination of tile, carpet and vinyl floors throughout the home

• Spacious bedrooms, closets and living areas, in addition to updated kitchen cabinets and storage areas

• 2-car garages with ample room for storage

• Fenced-in backyards, with a spacious front porch

These are just some of the many updates to the Quality of Life that Team Cannon and BBC have provided. In addition to the new housing project, Chavez West will be undergoing a makeover as well. These homes will feature new flooring, ceiling fans, microwaves and an updated exterior appearance.

BBC estimates that the first set of homes will be assigned in the beginning of October, with the rest to be assigned on a constant basis shortly after that.
