The Elida Lady Tigers improved to 5-0 for the season with a 25-17, 17-25, 25-23, 25-20 win at Melrose on Tuesday night.
The Lady Buffaloes fell to 4-2 with the loss.
In preliminary matches, Elida defeated Melrose in two games at the junior varsity level and in three in the junior high contest.
At Floyd, meantime, Fort Sumner handed the Lady Broncos a 25-16, 25-19, 25-16 setback.
The Vixens improved to 2-1 for the season while Floyd dropped to 0-3.
Fort Sumner won the junior varsity matchup 25-5, 25-11, while Floyd prevailed in the junior high contest over Fort Sumner Orange 25-20, 25-9.
