County manager appointed to committee

Staff report

Curry County Manager Lance Pyle has been appointed to a committee of the National Association of Counties, according to a press release from Pyle’s office.

Pyle will serve on NACo’s Finance, Pensions and Intergovernmental Affairs Steering Committee, said Riki Hokama, the organization’s president. Pyle joins just four other New Mexico representatives — two from Bernalillo and two from Santa Fe counties — as a member of the national committee, according to the press release.

“I believe it will be a benefit to Curry County and the eastern side of ... New Mexico to have representation of the national steering committee,” Pyle said in the press release. “Serving on a national steering committee enables county representatives to participate in national policy discussions on important issues affecting county governments.”
