Spikeball event set

The Clovis Spikeball Showcase is coming to Hillcrest Park June 28.

The event will run 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the park as an attempt to get people interested in the fast-paced sport played in 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 formats.

The first hour of the event will feature instruction and practice, with the rest of the time budgeted for competitive play tailored to participants’ skill levels.

The event is open to anybody 8 and older, with free registration.
