Curry County and Area Republican Women

The May meeting of Curry County Republican Women was called to order by President Laquita Terry.

Thirty-two members, associate members and guests were in attendance.

Rube Render, Curry County Republican Party chairman, reminded the group to vote in the June 3 primary.

Area candidates Andrea Reeb, Greg Southard, Sam Elliston, Randy Crowder and Candace Morrison spoke briefly. Curry County Clerk Rosalie Riley discussed the new Voting Convenience Centers and online sample ballots.

Relay For Life team captain Robin Montano reported the Republican Women For Life team raised $445 at the Relay with a cake walk and candy sales.

An enthusiastic “after” effort during the CCRW meeting pushed the team's total fundraising over the $500 goal.

The next CCRW meeting is scheduled for 11:30 a.m., Tuesday at Dakota's Steakhouse, 816 Lexington.

All interested Republicans are invited to attend.
