Elida opens district play with win over Clovis Christian

Elida beat Clovis Christian 25-11, 25-15, 25-12 Thursday in the District 4-B volleyball opener for both teams.

The Lady Tigers improved to 10-1 with the win.

“It was good to get back into action after the Capitan tournament,” said Elida coach Darrell Chenault, referring to the Lady Tigers’ first loss of the season in a semifinal match with Fort Sumner.
