Last time out: Both teams played Thursday, the Hounds losing at Texas A&M-Kingsville 82-63 while the Cardinals won at home over West Texas A&M 66-62.

Of note: While the Cardinals are coming in on a four-game winning streak, ENMU is out to snap a five-game skid. … UIW has five players averaging in double figures, led by 6-4 senior F Dionelle Rucker (17.6 ppg). Rucker also leads the team with 54 percent field goal shooting and 6.2 rpg. … UIW shot 51 percent in Thursday's win and leads the LSC in FG shooting at 49 percent. … Anthony Horton, a 6-8 junior F, is averaging 11.2 ppg, including 16.0 over the last three. … The Cardinals, headed for the Division I Southland Conference next year, lead ENMU 5-3 in the all-time series.

Last time out: Both teams played on Thursday, the Zias winning at Texas A&M-Kingsville 65-58 while the Cardinals edged West Texas A&M 51-50 at home on a basket by 5-7 junior G Ashlyn Green with 25 seconds left.

Of note: The Zias come in with three wins in their last four games, averaging about 60 ppg in that stretch after scoring 46.6 during their 0-10 start. … Prior to Thursday, Incarnate had lost two in a row after a five-game winning streak. … Green leads the team in scoring (11.3 ppg), followed by 6-2 junior C Rose Whitehead (11.1), who is also shooting 52 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free throw line. … Thursday's game was UIW's third this season decided by one point (2-1).
