'Justice Betrayed'

Former Clovis resident and child support hearing officer Jeffrey David Reynolds has written a novel, "Justice Betrayed," that takes place on the high desert plains of Clovis and surrounding New Mexico communities.

One judge, a seasoned veteran, is elevated to the state Supreme Court in Santa Fe because of his handling of the murder trial. Yet, he has further political ambitions — to be a U.S. senator.

The other judge, a young administrative law judge, deals with the plight of single women and their children in need of support and the agency entrusted to help them.

The young, tenacious administrative law judge threatens to sweep away the elder man's career and ambitions like a surging desert flash flood, carrying all before it.

"Justice Betrayed" gives the reader an insider's view of the minds of the men and women who judge us and the story behind the workings of the judicial scene in New Mexico.
