Artiest of the month - Nov. 4

Ruben Armenta

Pintores Art League's featured artist of the month for November is Ruben Armenta. Art has taken this artist from the U.S. to as far away as Czechoslovakia as well as from a "Yellow Page" designer to art director for national advertising and promotion for the Air Force. His commissioned military and aviation paintings hang in U.S. military facilities and private collections throughout the United States and Europe. A 4-by-8 painting entitled "Duty, Honor and Country" is on permanent display in the Clovis Veteran's Administration Clinic.

Weathered windows and the gaze of an individual's eyes are subjects Ruben also draws and paints. "I find them both captivating and reflective. "

Ruben has opened a studio, Art by Armenta, located north of Cannon AFB on Highway 311. Artwork by Ruben Armenta will be on display during regular library hours at the Clovis-Carver Public Library through the month of November.
