Alvy and Edith Smith of Clovis will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on June 24 at the home of Bobby and Lynn Aucutt. The family celebration will be hosted by their son, Alvy "Jerry" Smith with wife Alison and daughter Lynn Aucutt with husband Bobby.

The couple was married June 24, 1942, in Truscott, Texas. They have three children, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They are both retired educators.

The celebration is open to relatives.

erry and Carol Nash of Clovis will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married June 28, 1962, in San Jon. They have one child and two grandchildren.

Ralph and Marlen Essex of Clovis will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. June 30 at the Southwestern Public Service building at 500 Pile Street, Clovis. The celebration will be hosted by Dena and Steve Hoff of Mesquite, Nev., David and Donna Essex of Clovis, Carla and Phil Hundley of Orem, Utah and Tameron and Terry Peterson of Yukon, Okla.

The couple was married August 23, 1952, in Clovis. They have four children, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is a civil service mechanic. She is a homemaker.

The celebration is open to friends and relatives.
