Final day of tourney canceled

SAN ANTONIO — The final day of games in the St. Mary's NCAA Division II College Classic softball tournament was canceled on Saturday due to storms in the area. More rain was expected today and Monday, so the slate of games will not be made up.

Eastern New Mexico University, which went 1-3 on the first two days of the season-opening event, had been slated to face Abilene Christian and Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday.

The Zias return to action on Friday, facing St. Edward's at 11 a.m. (MST) in their opening game of a weekend event hosted by West Texas A&M.
