The Mounted Shooting All-Stars will be returning to Clovis 7 p.m. Saturday at the Curry County Events Center.

Twenty of the nation’s best Cowboy Mounted Shooters will be battling it out with six-guns and high performance horses for the second Western Shooting Horse All-Star Shootout.

The Mounted Shooting All-Stars will use .45 caliber single action cowboy pistols, which fire black powder blanks at ten targets all while maneuvering through assorted courses. It is high-speed and fast-paced competition that only the best-trained and fastest horses can be used.

In this three-stage high-stakes run-off, the All-Star Shootout guarantees mega-horsepower excitement and heart pounding competition and horsemanship, by putting the best of the best mounted shooters against each other. The winner of the competition is the shooter with the fastest time and the least missed targets.

Spectators with a paid ticket will receive a special incentive, a one-year subscriptions to Western Shooting Horse Magazine.

Tickets are $10 a piece and can be purchased at Joe’s Boot Shop.
