The next few months are sure to be busy on the campus of Eastern New Mexico University as numerous performances and exhibitions are rolled out for the community.
Already under way with the art exhibit “Snow on the Window Pane” by Andrew Merritt and an upcoming All-State Jazz concert set for Sunday, ENMU’s schedule of events is brimming with plays, concerts and the fine arts in coming months.
February will showcase the art of J. Tuttle and B. Hamann, with their exhibit titled “35 years: Parsons to Portales,” and performances of “Rabbit Hole,” the Liz Wade Faculty Recital and Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Mikado.”
In March, audiences can enjoy a kindergarten through college community art event in the Runnels Gallery at ENMU, the West Texas A&M Art Show and performances of the Saturday Night Lab plays, Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band, and “Jazzfest.”
April will feature the High Plains Film Festival screening, a performance by the ENMU choirs and orchestra, a faculty voice recital, a Brass Choir Concert, student art exhibitions and “An Evening of Sam Shepard.”
The semester will wrap up in May with more student art exhibitions, a spring dance recital, student-directed scenes and a Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band recital.
Events are open to the public and range from free to nominal ticket prices.
