Children: 4

Special circumstance: Mrs. R is helping to raise her grandchildren, because their parents are in jail. She works, but she does not make enough to give her grandchildren a nice Christmas.

Her holiday hopes: To have a good Christmas with her grandchildren.

Clothing needs: Girls’ pants size 10 to 12 and shirts size medium and shoes size 3; girls’ pants size 14 to 16 and shirts size ladies small and shoes size 3; boys’ pants and shirts size 5 and shoes size 9.5.

Toy’s list: Tinkerbell, Barbie dolls, necklace, toy tools, cars and trucks, High School Musical items.

Who’s helped: Around 500 families who’ve asked the Salvation Army to help make Christmas special.

Donations: Can be dropped off at the CNJ, 521 Pile St., or mailed to P.O. Box 1689, Clovis, NM 88102. Can be dropped off at the PNT, 101 E. First St., or P.O. Box 88, Portales, NM, 88130. Envelopes should be clearly marked “Empty Stocking Fund.” Checks must be payable to “The Salvation Army.”

Contributions will be forwarded to the Salvation Army office, 317 E. Second St., or gifts may be purchased for specific children by choosing an Angel tag off trees located at North Plains Mall and Walmart in Clovis.
