Clovis City Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution Friday in support of funding for the Eastern New Mexico Rural Water System Project.
The vote was taken during a special meeting.
Mayor Gayla Brumfield said the resolution is a show of support for requesting $25 million for the project from the eastern New Mexico’s Congressional delegation. The project would pipe water from Ute Lake to member communities, including Clovis.
