Church collecting gifts for Operation Christmas child

Parkland Baptist Church in Clovis will be serving as a collection point for Operation Christmas Child, according to a news release.

Operation Christmas Child provides shoe boxes of gifts to more than eight million children in 100 countries suffering from natural disasters, war, terrorism, disease, famine and poverty, the release said.

The program uses tracking technology so donors can keep track of their donation and find out its destination.

Collections will be accepted at Parkland starting Nov. 15.

Donations will be accepted from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 15-20, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 21 and 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 22. Parkland is located at 921 Parkland Dr.
