Milburn

Lynda Milburn was selected Outstanding Unit Member for 2010 by the New Mexico Association of Educational Retirees and Curry County Association of Educational Riterees . She is currently the treasurer of the local organization.

Lynda graduated cum laude from Eastern New Mexico University with a double major in business education and secondary education with a minor in biology. She continued her education while teaching and received her master’s degree plus 45 hours.

She taught accounting for 32 years and also served as co-ordinator for the Business Department Co-op Work Program for 10 years at Clovis High School.

After retiring from CHS, Lynda Linda was hired by the business and accounting department at Clovis Community College. She retired again in 2002 after teaching computers and accounting for seven years.

In 2003, she joined NMAER and CCAER. She has served CCAER as president, vice president, treasurer and as a member of numerous committees. She has been a strong force in promoting retiree membership and involvement in both the local and state organizations.
