Press release: Greyhounds remain in national poll

PORTALES, N.M. — For the second consecutive week, the Eastern New Mexico University men’s soccer team is in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Hendrickcars.com NCAA Division II poll, coming in at 23rd. The Greyhounds also rank third in the South Central region poll.

Last week, ENMU played to a 2-all double-overtime tie against 11th-ranked University of the Incarnate Word, before suffering their first home loss since last October, coming against regionally ranked St. Edwards.

For the season, the Greyhounds hold a 2-1-1 record over teams that are in this week’s NCAA Division II South Central poll, including victories over West Texas A&M (5th) and Northeastern State (6th).

On Friday night, the Eastern New Mexico University men’s soccer team will visit third ranked Midwestern State University, also ranked first in the South Central region. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. MDT start.
