Health office near completion

Carol Morgan of the Public Health Office in Portales said construction of the office's new building next to La Casa Family Health Center on Fir Street is ahead of schedule and she expects it to open March 1.

Morgan said a crew of seven or eight people has been working on the building and is putting sheeting on the roof.

"It's just amazing how fast it's going to me, and it keeps getting bigger and bigger by the minute," she said.
