Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Monday briefing.

Party time

Mark your calendars for a couple of special events.

Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., a farewell reception for Christina Martinez-Guajardo as she leaves United Way of Eastern New Mexico to take a position with La Casa.

It’s at 1200 Thornton, Suite G (Matt 25 Hope Center First Floor), in Clovis.

Then Friday from 10:30 p.m. until noon, the Friends of the Clovis Carver Public Library are having an open house for retiring library Director Marilyn Belcher.

It’s in the library’s Ingram Room.

Last chance

Friday is the last day to change from credit to audit if you are enrolled in a class during the first eight-week term at Clovis Community College.

Cash for college

The New Mexico Land Title Association and Mortgage Finance Authority has given a $10,000 donation to the Clovis Community College Foundation to benefit the New Mexico Land Title Chili Currier Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship honors longtime title agent, Chili Currier.

This donation brings the total endowment at CCC to $25,000.
