Clovis' Hank Baskett beat out Kelley Washington for the fifth and final wide receiver spot with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to the team's website.
NFL teams were required to trim their rosters to 53 players Saturday.
Besides playing receiver, Baskett is considered a strong special teams player.
Baskett, a 2001 Clovis High graduate and former New Mexico University standout, is entering his fifth NFL season.
He spent most of his season last year with the Indianapolis Colts after he was released by the Eagles. He re-signed with the Eagles this spring after the Colts failed to offer him a contract.
He caught five passes for 34 yards last season.
In his career, he has 76 catches for 1,078 yards and six touchdowns.
The Eagles open their season Sept. 12 at home against the Green Bay Packers.
