Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The Village of Melrose broke ground Wednesday on its new health clinic.
County Manager Lance Pyle said more than 80 people attended the long anticipated event, including Melrose Elementary students, citizens and people who were involved in organizing the project.
Completion of the clinic is planned for January.
“It’s a great day for the village of Melrose and congratulations to them on this much needed facility. Five months from now, we’ll be back doing a ribbon cutting,” Pyle said.
“This is the reality of a community coming together and supporting each other and working hard on a project.”
Money to build the facility, $500,000, was obtained through a state community development grant.
The 1,920 square foot clinic is planned to take up part of 3,500 square feet along Main Street.
