Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Around 8 a.m. Aug. 18 an officer on traffic patrol in the area of 14th and Hickory streets stopped a vehicle after dispatch informed him it had rammed another vehicle.
The driver told the officer he was following his wife to make sure she took their daughter to school.
Another officer made contact with the man’s wife, who said she called 911 when her husband rammed the back of her vehicle.
She said she had left her husband two days earlier.
Officers documented damage to both vehicles.
The man was arrested on aggravated battery on a household member.

About 8 a.m. Aug. 20 officers were called to a business in the 500 block of North Prince Street for a report of burglary.
The owner said he arrived at his office and found a broken window with blood on it and the floor. Inside the office he said he discovered the cash register had been stolen. He said the cash register contained less than $20.
A detective was called to take over the case.

Around 2 p.m. Aug. 21 an officer responded to a residence in the 1300 block of 14th Street for a report of battery.
A woman said two days prior her former boyfriend was waiting outside her apartment when she got home.
She said he threw her to the ground and started kicking her in the ribs and dragged her around her apartment.
She said he had previously entered her residence on several occasions, damaging things and ripping posters off the wall.
She said she waited two days to file the report because she was afraid he would retaliate.
The officer noted efforts would be made to speak with the former boyfriend as part of the investigation.

Around 9 a.m. Aug. 23 an officer responded to Highland Elementary School for a report of found narcotics.
An administrator told the officer a parent came into the office and turned over a bag containing what appeared to be methamphetamines and said they had seen it fall out of another parent’s pocket while they were walking into the school.
The officer turned the drugs over to an officer assigned to the drug task force.
