Commissioners to meet, give report on jail

During today’s regular commission meeting, Curry County commissioners are expected to:

• Give a report on its Aug. 3 tour and inspection of the jail.

• Consider a 23-item consent agenda that includes:

• A contract with BI Incorporated for inmate monitoring and tracking services

• Approval for Rohde May Keller McNamara Architecture to proceed with the final phase of a master plan for a judicial complex at a cost of $83,000.

• Consider 14 service agreements with nonprofit agencies ranging from $900 to $9,000.

• Consider a $20,000 professional services contract with Edit House Productions LLC for public relations and outreach related to judicial complex bond questions on the general election ballot.

• Hold a public hearing on a proposed plat for the Eagle Crest Subdivision.

• Consider approving subdivisions Rose Point and Van Ruitien, which will later be considered for annex by the city.

• Consider a resolution to charge a $5 fee to process and mail property tax bills when the tax is less than $5.

• Go into executive session. The notice does not specify the reason for the session, citing statute allowing executive session to discuss limited personnel maters, threatened or pending litigation or the acquisition or sale of real estate.

• Tour an addition and renovations to the La Casa clinic.
