Weed patrol
Seems like the weeds are taking over Clovis.
Where are the tallest weeds in the city limits?
We want to see your photos.
Take a picture, tell us the location, and e-mail the photo to [email protected].
We're giving away an mp3 player for the picture that we think best illustrates the weed problem in Clovis' city limits.
Deadline is 5 p.m. today.
Sign of the times
That fancy new electronic sign outside the Clovis-Carver library is courtesy of a $28,000 donation from the Sisler Foundation.
The sign was officially dedicated July 30 and features rolling announcements about important city, county and library events.
The foundation is honors the late Joe and Charlynne Sisler.
He founded Clovis National Bank and she was a longtime member of the library board.
Check it out next time you’re downtown.
