BPO Does
Clovis BPO Does held a regular meeting on May 13 with President Terri Ruhe presiding.
Two new members, Stella Chavez and Margie Tapia, were initiated into the Drove.
Benevolence Chairman Bonnie Bryant announced her Benevolence Project is to donate personal and household products to The Hartley House.
Each member was asked to bring items to the next meeting so they can be gathered and delivered to the facility.
We were reminded that the annual picnic will be on July 8 and the annual garage sale will be on July 16 and 17.
Birthdays for Linda Catanzaro, Sue Gibbs, and Stella Chavez were celebrated.
Refreshments were served after the meeting.
The next meeting will be an informal meeting on May 27 with a luau theme in celebration of the Drove’s Birthday.
Rainy Day Club
The Claud Rainy Day Club met at 1:30 p.m. May 12 at the Senior Resident Center Library with Lola Starbuck as hostess.
President Ann Carter presided at the business meeting.
The club plans to help other county members make 600-plus gifts for the national convention to be held in Albuquerque in 2011.
Members agreed to donate birthday offerings to aid a cancer victim.
Nine members were present and four guests: Margaret Fury, Jody Starbuck, Annie Carter and Emily Bledsoe.
After refreshments were served the group was given a tour of the facilities.
The next meeting will be at the Gallery 15 Bistro at 10 a.m. on May 26.
